1898-1900 Botanical Specimens Framed 5
This superbly preserved botanical specimen was prepared by Robert Schafer, a pharmacist apprentice, between the years 1898 and 1900. Handwritten labels include the Latin and German names of the species and family, and include where and when the plant was collected. In case small plant bits fall off in future years, as is common with actual plant specimens, there is space to hide it in the ingeniously designed shadowbox. Framed dimensions measure 17.5" x 21.5"
